A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead to join the In-Reach and Home Treatment Team in Chesterfield.

The service covers Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire and will be based at Scarsdale Hospital.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Lead to use their knowledge and leadership skills to deliver a service in line with operational policy and take a robust leadership role in moving the service forward, adhering to NICE and evidenced-based practice.

Applicant must be a Non Medical Prescriber or willing to undertake when in post.

The service has a Service Manager, Clinical Lead, Nurses, Support Workers OTs, Psychology input and a Consultant Psychiatrist.

Robust management supervision and clinical supervision will be available to support the post holder and the existing management team are keen to support the successful applicant to integrate into this role.

The post is a challenging but rewarding role.

Main duties of the job

The post requires:
  • A caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and carers
  • The ability to clinical lead a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • A commitment to wider service requirements.
  • An understanding of the mental health needs of older adults living with a functional illness.
  • To work as an independent (supplementary where relevant) Non Medical Prescriber.

Experience/Skills

Essential

  • Working with older adults with a functional illness
  • Demonstrate leadership skills such as motivation, facilitation, mentorship
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Clinical Governance in action (audit, research clinical effectiveness etc)
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver Clinical and Managerial Supervision within an effective model.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of work-based legislation.


Desirable

  • Experience of community settings
  • Demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate and lead multi-professional teams
  • Recent and relevant experience at Band 6 level


Experience

Essential

  • Experience within a Leadership role

  • Ability to lead a clinical team.
