This is a key, organisation-wide role in developing and maintaining high standards of care for vulnerable migrant women in pregnancy and the postnatal period. You will have a high level of relevant expert knowledge and skills, which you will use to manage, develop and lead care for vulnerable migrant women during pregnancy and into the postnatal period.
You will be responsible for providing extra support and care to pregnant women when their migrant status impacts on their health and wellbeing, in partnership with their own midwife and other partnership agencies, or case holding women with complex social needs in relation to their migrant status.
You will work closely with women and their families to plan and coordinate their individual needs.

Main duties of the job
You will provide a link between the maternity service and other services involved in providing care and services for vulnerable migrant women and their families.
You will ensure that relevant pathways, policies and processes for vulnerable migrant women are developed, implemented and audited. This will involve working with a range of relevant professionals, services and agencies.
You will support your colleagues by sharing specialist knowledge through coordinating and providing training and guidance in the providing of care and support for vulnerable migrant women, to enable them to provide holistic care that optimises good outcomes for mother and child.
