Our diabetes team is flourishing, thriving, and worktogether to revolutionise the way we provide care,and we endeavour to improve the quality of life ofour children and young people living with diabetes.To further develop the team, we are looking torecruit an innovative paediatric diabetes nurse withenthusiasm and passion for helping patients livingwith diabetes and their families
Main duties of the job
LNWUH Paediatric Diabetes Nursing Service is seeking an experienced diabetic children's nurse, to join the team which works across LNWH NHS Trust.
The Band 7 role requires an experienced, dynamic nurse with diabetic knowledge and understanding. You will need to be flexible and forward thinking, able to work independently and as part of a small friendly and supportive team delivering specialist nursing care to a diverse caseload. There will be a strong focus to deliver an 'out of hospital' agenda across community based pathways to reduce hospital attendances and length of stay. There is Trust wide commitment to develop and lead diabetic children's nursing into an exciting and outcomes driven future, through integration and partnership working, to ensure seamless delivery of services across the health system to meet the needs of children and young people across borough with diabetes.
The post holder will require excellent communication and clinical skills and have previous experience of planning and delivering care for children and young people with diabetes across hospital and community settings. They will need a commitment to education to ensure the service remains current in developments in the care and management of children and young people with Diabetes.

- NMC Registration Part 8 or 15-Children's Nursing
- Post graduate Paediatric diabetes qualification or equivalent
