An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at The Hillingdon Hospital as a part-time Band 6 Midwife to care for women/birthing people booked for a multiple birth.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of personalised and evidence based care to women/birthing people and their families who have a multiple pregnancy.

The post holder will be motivated, dynamic, sensitive, forward thinking and provide support and advice to women/birthing people and their families who have a twins or multiple pregnancy. A key role for the post holder will be to support the development of the multiple birth service and deliver training/support to the multidisciplinary team.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. Person Specification

Criteria

Essential

  • Registered practising midwife currently on NMC Register
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience working in a midwifery role
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Mentorship or teaching accreditation: ENB 997 or equivalent, SSSA supervisor and assessor
  • post registration in continuous clinical practice
  • Ability to demonstrate significant experience in all midwifery practice
  • Current knowledge of local and national child / adult safeguarding procedures.
