An exciting opportunity awaits at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) in our Corporate and Health Records Department. As we transition from paper to electronic services, we seek a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team.

As a senior manager, you will be working managing teams and demonstrating sound leadership and management skills. You will be a good communicator and have a vision to develop the team through our ambitious future plan

Your role will encompass supporting the Health and Corporate Records service across all five sites, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. You'll play a crucial part in managing services and teams, providing invaluable advice on corporate records management in line with legislation and guidance. Collaborating closely with the Trust's electronic patient record (EPR) team, you'll aid in the seamless transition to electronic records. If you're ready to utilise your digital information management skills to positively impact patient care and support clinicians in delivering optimal care, then this role is perfect for you.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you'll lead a digital transformation, ensuring adherence to standards and legal requirements. You will manage healthcare records departments, ensuring high-quality, compliant medical record services. Supporting senior leadership, you'll develop relationships across the trust to enhance record-keeping for patient care.

You will provide operational and senior management leadership, contributing to strategic changes and maintaining data security. Strong communication and management skills are essential to lead diverse teams effectively and ensure excellent care aligned with Leeds Way Values.

Essential

  • Postgraduate Management qualification to Masters Level or equivalent experience in relevant area.
  • Evidence of CPD over the past years


Experience

Essential

  • NHS information standards, central returns and information systems.
  • NHS targets and performance indicators, including access, clinical and efficiency.
  • Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Caldicott
  • Analytical tools: statistical techniques, forecasting, modelling, simulation and benchmarking.
  • IT tools, Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint. Clinical and administrative systems.
  • Significant experience in an NHS senior information management role


Desirable
