A band 6 opportunity has become available for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment post.
Secondment opportunity also considered.
To provide a high quality Orthoptic service for all patients referred to the hospital service in Stockport and High Peak and work autonomously in the diagnosis and management of complex adult and paediatric cases.
To be responsible for ensuring the provision of compassionate, safe and high quality patient care.
To work autonomously in the community clinics and schools in Stockport and North Derbyshire. This involves work without supervision in providing a diagnosis, management and treatment of patients referred in both Trusts.
Main duties of the job
To undertake a specialist role within the department
Top show leadership skills in line with a Band 6 post
To take direct referrals, prioritise and judge requirements for onward referral. May be first point of contact for patients and is totally responsible for patient management.
To determine the clinical diagnosis and develop effective treatment plans
