SHIFT LEAD BAND 6 - WARD B4SECONDMENT POST - 12 Months30 Hours
Exciting opportunities have arisen for anyone who is looking to gain experience within a busy surgical ward.
The successful Band 6 post-holder will be a registered nurse with experience of regularly managing a team of staff within the acute surgery setting.
Ward B4cares for Colorectal and gastrointestinal patients. The ward cares for acute, emergency and elective patients offering a diverse range of experience. We are looking for someone who is keen to continuously help drive the service forward.
If you enjoy a challenge, are motivated, organised and have excellent communication skills and would like to join a dynamic and highly skilled team then this is the job for you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the management of the Nursing Unit/Department during the shift, including the organisation of the Nursing Unit/Department activities and the management of staff and resources. The post holder will support the Lead Nurse and Matron in developing and monitoring services and the quality of care experienced by patients.

- First level registration
- Educated to diploma level or demonstrate experience of operating at this level
- Evidence of professional development and regular study since qualification
