This is an exciting opportunity to joinBHFT's Integrated Services Team, working across East Berkshire, providing multi-disciplinary rehabilitation across several services which include the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC), Community Physiotherapy, and Intensive Community Rehabilitation (ICR)/Intermediate Care.
You will be responsible for leading these teams within Upton Hospital, Slough, and the staff within these teams. You will coordinate and oversee the safe, effective and smooth operational management of the pathways they provide. You will also act as a role model within your professional area in the specialist field of rehabilitation, providing clinical support where needed. You will work with the other Locality Lead and Integrated Services lead to ensure the delivery of coordinated patient centred care in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, patients and carers.
For this post you will need to have sound experience of working as a Band 7 Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Nurse in the rehabilitation of older adults.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will
- be responsible for the leadership, management and development of staff providing rehabilitation services within the Slough locality. This includes BHFT staff who deliver the care pathways for the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC), Community Physiotherapy, and Intermediate Care.
- take day-to-day operational management responsibility for the planning, directing and performance management of the services.
- have overall responsibility for management and/ or leadership of a range of staff including Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Support workers and administrators, providing clear compassionate leadership
- be expected to work collaboratively across traditional Health and Social Care boundaries, identifying opportunities and driving a culture of local integration which puts the patient at the centre of service delivery.
- ensure timely access and triaging of patients and that team performance targets are consistently met by developing and implementing improvement plans.
