We would like to appoint a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in the Psychological Services in the AMH, NMHS in Worcestershire. We are a pilot site for the Transformation Model working in the community considering local need and linking with community services.
This is a Band 7 permanent post for 30 hours per week, and we would consider other working hours, but not less than 15 hours. We provide face to face and virtual interventions as clinically appropriate.
The NMHS teams have integrated psychological pathways for individuals with moderate/severe, severe/enduring, psychosis/bipolar and emotionally unstable presentations. The post holder would work on the moderate/severe and the severe/enduring pathways. The post holder would apply Clinical/ Counselling Psychology core values in clinical practice, work with a diverse service user group and with a range of complex mental health needs. They would encourage service users to be active in their own recovery and encourage trauma informed care across the NMHS.
Main duties of the job
The post is integral to the NMHS, working with other psychologists, psychotherapists and mental health professionals. They will be a valued member of the psychology provision within the Trust.
They will provide psychological assessments leading to the development of psychological formulations leading to treatment plans for 1: 1 intervention with individuals. They will also be involved with psychotherapeutic group delivery. They will also have the opportunity to be involved with the Applied Psychology service delivery.
They will receive both clinical supervision and line management. Across the service we offer a variety of supervision for evidence-based models and invest in model specific supervision.
They will attend all necessary NMHS team meetings and be involved in the NMHS psychological services professional meetings.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in Psychology
- Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
- Evidence of regular continuing professional development through further professional training and experience, as required by the HCPC and the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
- Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
Experience

- Experience required specific to the role and clinical area
