An exciting opportunity has opened up within North East Wales CAMHS. We are seeking an experienced practitioner to join our team across Wrexham.
The successful candidate will join our clinical team providing assessment and interventions for children and young people primarily supporting all areas of the service, including unscheduled care within the service. This will include urgent mental health assessments, risk assessments and also supporting the initial contact with the service through our single point of access.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for practitioner who can have a flexible approach to work across these different areas of the service with the enthusiasm needed to engage a wide range of children, young people, their families and other professionals in meeting their diverse needs. You must be a registered professional and compliant with the Mental Health Measure 2010 with a relevant governing body (NMC, Social Care council or health professionals council) and be able to deliver mental health assessments and evidence based interventions for children and young people.
Experience of working in the community with children and young people/adults who are displaying a range of risk type behaviours, complex mental health needs and complex family situations would be an advantage.
The service operates 7 day working and the willingness and ability to work across the service hours is essential.
