Newly qualified students are encouraged to apply as are more experienced radiographers (banding for more experienced staff would be subject to experience and transferrable skills).

Main duties of the job
As part of the radiology team, you will be required to work flexibly throughout the general department including Theatres, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, and the Emergency Department. You will be expected to participate in the general out of hours rota which provides a service 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. You will work across our York satellite sites such as Selby, Clifton Park Hospital, and the new CDC site at Askham Bar.
We are a forward-thinking department that values our staff and are committed to advanced practice with a number of Radiographers currently undertaking extended roles. As a department we encourage the progression of our radiographers to develop from a band 5 to band 6 via a competency-based run through.
Opportunities exist for Radiographers to undertakefundedpost-graduate study in all modalities. Recent qualifications obtained by staff include post graduate certificates in MRI, CT, Forensics and Image Reporting, Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Imaging, in Ultrasound and PhD in MRI.
