We are offering the exciting opportunity to join our Trust as the Patient Flow Clinical Manager. We are looking for a motivated individual who will support and lead our already established Clinical Site Team, and provide support to the wider Trust. You will be a Registered Nurse with significant management experience and a thorough knowledge of flow management alongside the ability to support discharge processes and the reduction of length of stay in our hospital whilst focussing on best patient care quality.
The post holder will work Monday-Friday based onsite at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust with the requirement to undertake Senior Manager on call duties.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing senior professional, operational and strategic clinical leadership to the Clinical Site Management Team, leading and developing the team. The Patient Flow Clinical Manager will support the long length of stay reduction processes and work closely with the Care Group teams to minimise delays for patients in the organisation. The post holder will proactively support patient flow from the point of patient admission through to discharge, liaising with relevant clinical teams and Care Groups as necessary to minimise delays and problem solve flow issues. This role will operate as 'Silver on site' during the day and will work closely with Silver on Call colleagues in line with escalation levels. The post holder will develop excellent working relationships with clinical teams across the Trust and community settings. The post holder will have recent management experience in the NHS with responsibility for operational matters including, staff management, budgetary responsibility, performance targets, discharge arrangements.
