Exciting opportunities have arisen for the Integrated Care Service (iCARES) to recruit dynamic Band 6 Occupational Therapists. You will have a passion for community rehabilitation and maximising peoples independence. You will join the iCARES service working across Sandwell Community working collaboratively with our partners to provide holistic assessement and treatment. We have vacancies within the Home Based Intermediate Care team and the Locality Rehab team.
There is the opportunity to bring your leadership and clinical skills to help the continuing development of the services including integrated Town Teams to deliver patient centred care.
Within the Team we have Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Assistant Practitioners and Rehab Support Workers, delivering integrated care and supporting in promoting independence and avoiding unnecessary admissions to hospital for people in their own home.
Main duties of the job
To work with the senior clinical staff and provide leadership and oversight of the team.You will work closely with your peers, senior clinical staff, and Service Lead.To be a core member of the team, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the care provided to patients on a daily basis.To provide specialist assessment and treatment of patients within community settings, including the patients own home.To supervise, assess and educate team members including bank or agency when needed and and students.

- HCPC Registration
- Portfolio evidence of CPD

- Membership of COT

- Experience must include working within a community service / rehab / neurology or long term conditions
- Experience of working as part of a Therapy team and the wider MDT
- Experience of delegating to and supervising Assistants. Contribution to the clinical education of less experienced staff or undergraduate Physiotherapy students
- Participation in emergency duties
