A vacancy has arisen for a Lead Biomedical Scientist in Haematology. The successful candidate will take daily responsibility for the provision of the haematology service supervising and leading a team of Biomedical Scientist and Medical Lab Assistants.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced BMS in haematology you will be required to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of resources within the department, including staff, reagents and consumables, and to monitor the daily work activity, participating in the technical work when required.
Ensuring the quality of the service is maintained including continued compliance with ISO15189 is essential. This will include being involved in maintenance of the Quality Management Service and supporting the staff with this. Delivering training of staff and supporting the training lead will be required.
Job share may be considered but this will have to be discussed inline with the needs of the service and the service KPIS.
