The Postholder will be able to act without guidance from the Chairman and CEO because they have a detailed understanding of the stakeholder environment and the Chairman and CEO's relationships and priorities. The EA must be able to act as an effective 'gatekeeper' and must therefore have excellent negotiation, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. The role will involve intensive contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people - both internal and external to the organisation. The post holder will need to be a team player and a 'completer-finisher', with very strong communication skills.
Main duties of the job
o Support the effective flow of information between the ChiefExecutive, Chairman and rest of the Boardo Alongside other members of the Executive PA Team, be the firstpoint of contact for patients and visitors to the department inperson or by telephone and deal with them in the most appropriatemanner, pleasantly, efficiently and quickly maintaining serviceuser privacy and acting in line with information governancerequirements.o Communicate with tact, understanding and discretion withmembers of the public/service users/carers when dealing withenquiries/complaints.o Respond to all queries, correspondence, including sensitiveinformation and telephone calls received in the office in a timelyand professional manner. Initiate action where possible and reportprogress as appropriate.
