Are you looking for a new challenge? North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) is looking for a candidate with good communication skills and experience of maintaining data collection and analysis systems to support the running of local and Sub Regional Immunoglobulin AssessmentPanels.
A network of Sub Regional AssessmentPanels (SRIAPs) was created by NHS England in 2018 to ensure immunoglobulin usage is in accordance with national guidance. The North of the South West SRIAP is hosted by NBT and is well established, consisting of representatives from five member Trusts. There are also local NBT Immunoglobulin AssessmentPanels which feed in to the SRIAP.
Your role will involve organising SRIAP and local NBT Immunoglobulin Panel meetings, preparing and disseminating minutes and other communications, as well as collating and presenting data and compiling quarterly and annual reports. This will involve working with and communicating sensitive or confidential data. Attention to detail and knowledge of computer software programmes such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is essential.
No prior knowledge of immunoglobulin therapy is expected as training will be given.
The position is full time. Applications for part time employment (minimum 0.8WTE) will be considered.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will report to the Highly Specialist Immunoglobulin and Immunology Pharmacist, and will work alongside a Rotational Band 7 Immunoglobulin and HIV Pharmacist and Panel members.
In this key role you will be required to:
Applicants must have experience of using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, to manipulate and visualise data, produce reports and presentations and maintain project information systems.
You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels.
You will also have organisational and self-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

NBT hosts the North of the South-West SRIAP and as the successful candidate you will support the running of this panel, contributing to its development and ensuring it meets objectives and performance indicators.
NBT has around 180 patients receiving immunoglobulin therapy and is the largest user in the North of the South-West region. Your role will also support the running of the local NBT Immunoglobulin Panel.
You will report to the Immunoglobulin and Immunology Pharmacist and work collaboratively with a rotational pharmacist, as well as panel members both internal and external to the Trust.

Sub Regional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel Co-ordinator
Provide efficient and timely administrative support to the Sub Regional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel (SRIAP) and work closely with the chair and its members to plan, facilitate and co-ordinate panel meetings. Ensure that meeting agendas, papers, venues and attendees are prepared with sufficient notice and all relevant information collated and circulated to allow treatment decisions to be made. Attend and take minutes for the SRIAP documenting the decisions made by the Panel Support the communication of outcomes to the relevant referring clinician in their respective Trust as needed. To encourage and support clinicians to submit agreed minimum dataset via the national immunoglobulin E-referral system. In cases where this is not possible, to follow local procedure to enable patients to be discussed and appropriate treatment decisions made Maintain a secure database to record all relevant information regarding patients discussed at the SRIAP and those discussed between SRIAP meetings to include outcomes and any actions required. This will include regular reviews of all decisions made for feedback to the SRIAP. Co-ordinate with the member Trusts about reviewing ongoing immunoglobulin therapy ensuring they have appropriate systems in place to review and report agreed outcomes. To manage and coordinate communications (telephone, face to face and electronically)between members of the SRIAP. Ensure all immunoglobulin updates from NHS England or the Department of Health are circulated to all relevant personnel in member Trusts. Support the Highly Specialist Immunoglobulin and Immunology Pharmacist to produce reports on cost savings and immunoglobulin product usage to Commissioners and present this information to SRIAP as needed. Monitor and report quarterly against agreed KPIs for the SRIAP and develop appropriate action plans in order to rectify failing performance against these KPIs. Support collation of benchmarking data on immunoglobulin prescribing for review, identifying outlying practice to guide further investigation and sharing of best practice. Support appeals procedures and organise all paperwork in connection to appeals for submission to the Peninsula Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel. If necessary, organise ad-hoc meetings to discuss any urgent requests Maintain an up- to- date Declaration of Interests spreadsheet of all SRIAP members. Support audits of immunoglobulin usage and outcome data as requested. Establish and maintain the SRIAP contact and circulation lists in accordance with NHS information governance requirements. Attend national update training meetings and conferences organised by Medical Data Solutions And Services (MDSAS). To produce an annual report on the performance and outputs from the SRIAP in conjunction with the SRIAP Chair and Panel members to be submitted to the Commissioners
Local NBT Immunoglobulin panel (NBT IAP)
Provide administrative support to plan, co-ordinate and attend meetings to take minutes and disseminate information from the SRIAP to NBT IAP members. Assist clinical teams to ensure that all NBT patients are appropriately followed up within the specified time frame and efficacy outcomes are recorded on the database.
Communications and working relationshipsTo liaise with all disciplines of staff, both internal and external to North Bristol NHS Trust to ensure that effective lines of communication are maintained.
