An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for implementing safe and effective care for patients within the department, including scrub skills, monitoring of patients during procedures , recovery skills and managing a team
You will have current registration with NMC on part 1 or 2 of the register, and relevant post-registration experience. It is also essential that you are able to work well as a member of a multidisciplinary team. You must also be able to evidence a commitment to your own professional development. A working knowledge of Radiology and experience of supervising and mentoring staff would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
Registered nurse able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
Responsible for assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care.
To assist in supervision of the team. To deputise for the senior sister in their absence.
As a primary nurse during out of hours working the practitioner must ensure the safe and effective care of patients undergoing procedures. The practitioner will have sole responsibility for the security of drugs.
