Main duties of the job

As a senior member of the Data Integration Team within our Information Services department, you will:

• Leads the design, specification, and testing of HL7/other data interfaces within the Trust.
• Collaborates with system suppliers, managers, and clinicians to understand and meet interface requirements.
• Conducts data migrations
• Contributes to team supervision and training and development

It is essential to be educated to Masters degree level in a relevant subject, or to have equivalent experience.

The postholder must have highly advanced computing skills in a programming language and the ability to adapt computing skills to any new software required.

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, preferably mathematics, computing or statistics
• Specialist knowledge and expertise in data integration, equivalent to postgraduate degree level

Desirable

• Member of a professional body

Education / Experience

Essential

• Advanced knowledge of a programming language such as SQL, Python, R or similar
• In depth knowledge of data interfaces and/or in-depth knowledge of NHS data and digital systems

Desirable

• Knowledge of clinical terminology
• Knowledge of the NHS data model and standards
• Significant experience of analysing NHS data
• Experience of supervising and developing staff
