An exciting opportunity has arisen as the Cardiac Rhythm Management Lead for Cardiac Physiology at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking to recruit a clinically expert, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our multi disciplinary department.
We undertake the full range of Cardiac Rhythm Management procedures across EP and devices.
This is an ideal opportunity for a current band 7 seeking to develop their leadership and management skills and gain experience in service development.
Main duties of the job
Working with the Head of Cardiac Physiology , the post holder will assist in the running of all Cardiac Rhythm Management services.
The post holder will support in the delivery of a high quality, efficient service to patients and to supervise, guide and support staff in performance of their roles in the department.
The post holder will be expected to work as an independent practitioner in CRM procedures: EP and/or devices.
We expect the successful applicant to have the ability to work independently and you will also be expected to participate in the training and appraisal of junior staff.

To lead the management and development of the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) service for theOxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT) in collaboration with the Clinical ServiceUnit (CSU) Leads and Head of Cardiac PhysiologyIndependently deliver advanced CRM procedures and be responsible for the training and developmentof other staff to develop and maintain service delivery, ensuring excellent patient care.To work collaboratively with the Head of Cardiac Physiology, Directorate Leadership Team and CSUleads to ensure the efficient operational management of the CRM serviceTo be visible, easily identifiable, and accessible to patients and relatives, providing overall leadership,direction and vision for the service.To assist the Head of Cardiac Physiology in meeting the objectives and responsibilities as definedwithin the Directorate strategy.
In collaboration with the Head of Cardiac Physiology ensure that service provision is delivered as theresponsible budget holder and ensure that government targets are achieved.To be responsible for the supervision and direct management of the Cardiac Physiology MDT within CRM.

- BSc Cardiac Physiology or equivalent o Teaching / mentoring qualification or demonstrable experience (see appendix 1) o ILS / ALS or ability to undertake training o Demonstrable further postgraduate qualification and/or experience equivalent ie BHRS accreditation
- o Extensive experience within the field of CRM based procedures and investigations o Clinical expertise in patient assessment and history taking relevant to CRM o Can provide evidence of effective leadership and developmental work undertaken at senior level o Evidence of relevant managerial experience within a clinical environment understanding and managing HR, Finance and Clinical Risk/Governance issues.
Desirable
- Masters level/PhD education or expected to work towards in this post. o Managerial qualification
