We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Consultant Practitioner to join our Neuro-oncology Service here in CUH. You will deliver comprehensive care to patients, operating with a high degree of autonomy within a specialist neuro-oncology service. This role is structured around the four core functions of Nurse Consultant Practice as outlined by the Health Education England framework:

Key Responsibilities:
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as an independent Consultant Practitioner delivering a comprehensive service to patients within the neuro-oncology service, employing a high degree of autonomy.
The post is structured around the four core functions of Consultant Practice as set out in the multi-professional consultant-level practice capability and impact framework (Multi professional consultant-level practice capability and impact framework, Health Education England www.hee.nhs.uk 2021):
1. Expert practice
2. Strategic and enabling leadership
3. Learning, developing, and improving across the system
4. Research and innovation
The post holder will:
1. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
2. Provides education and training to other staff and students.
3. Ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
4. Undertake research within this specialist area.
This post will provide key leadership and clinical expertise within the East of England neuro-oncology service. This will include contributing to key areas of clinical delivery, providing staff support and mentorship, and undertaking audit and research in line with the service's core objectives. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring the service continues to maintain the required standards for designation as a Centre of Excellence by the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission.
