The South Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Wellbeing Service (IAPT)
Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust
High Intensity CBT Therapist, Permanent Post Band 7 AfC
Due to an expansion of the service we currently have a position for high intensity therapist within our Seisdon team.
The South Staffordshire IAPT Teams provide a service for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems, operating predominantly within steps 1- 4 of the Stepped Care Model.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced High Intensity CBT Therapist to be part of our team. The successful candidate will work at Step 3 of the Stepped Care Model, providing assessments and NICE approved therapies across the locality, including face to face and telephone work. The post is clinically supervised by senior clinicians in the service and are operationally responsible to the Senior CBT Therapist.
Previous experience working in an IAPT or equivalent service would be beneficial, as would further training in IAPT approved therapies such as IPT or EMDR and IAPT Supervisor Training. People with lived experience of mental health issues are encouraged to apply for this post.
The service offers therapy opportunities for clients between the hours of 8am-8pm and in future, also at weekends. The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly to meet service needs within these hours. Due to service demands, this post is not suitable for job share.
