An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Kent Community Rehabilitation Service, at Rivendell. The team require Deputy Unit Manager and the successful candidate should be an enthusiastic and motivated registered mental health nurse with sound knowledge and skills to take on this challenging but rewarding role.
Rivendell is situated in the village of Eastry and is one of 6 Rehabilitation Units across Kent, which provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health and psychological needs. The unit comprises of 9 single bedrooms and is staffed 24 hour a day, 7 days a week.
The multidisciplinary team provides a wide range of individualized interventions delivered by nursing, medical, psychological, occupational therapy and peer support clinicians. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills to manage and supervise staff effectively. You will be working with a wide range of experienced and friendly professionals providing high-quality care with compassion.
We will offer development opportunities, supervision, reflective practice, mentoring and coaching and will ensure you are fully supported in your new role. A working knowledge of serious and enduring mental health conditions, such as complex psychosis is essential.
The successful candidate will also act as a Clinical Lead supporting best practice in line with NMC, NICE guidance and Trust Policy.

The Senior Nurse will provide day-to-day support to the Unit Manager, to carry out appropriate delegated tasks.
The Senior Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the comprehensive assessment of service users.
Work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of the Rehabilitation Therapeutic Intervention programme.
