Are you a motivated physiotherapist who would like to consolidate and develop your skills in a rotational post. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist in BHRUT you will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and other non-clinical aspects of a specialist practitioner. This will ensure you are confident to work as an autonomous practitioner across a broad number of specialties. You will work alongside senior members of staff to ensure quality rotation-specific treatment to patients with various medical conditions, according to the rotation you are on. We place high emphasis on multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service, as determined by the rotation, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.

To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, Junior staff and Students on placement

To participate in the band 6 rotational scheme which could involve working across the Trust in a range of settings, including orthopaedics musculoskeletal conditions, acute stroke, critical care, surgical/pediatrics and acute medical.

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of limitations of own clinical practice and identify appropriate solutions
• Ability to demonstrate specialised skills in assessment and treatment of patients in the acute and outpatient setting in line with current practise and research
• Understand clinical governance and its implications for service delivery and demonstrate evidence of its clinical application i.e., audit
• Supervision of other staff i.e., assistants and technical instructors

• To have broad clinical experience during Band 5 rotations including acute medical, respiratory, neuro, orthopaedics, MSK outpatients
