A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bolton CAMHS to appoint 2 Band 5 or 6 (dependent on experience) Mental Health Practitioners.
The successful applicants will be part of an NHS initiative for development posts in CAMHS and will be recruited to train in a Post Graduate Therapy.
Within Bolton CAMHS there are two posts with the training being:
Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (1full time post)
Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Family Practice (SFP) Self Harm and Conduct (1 full time post )

Main duties of the job
To undertake training in the first year of employment and once qualified undertake duties as a Mental Health Practitioner (see job description) as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality, outcome informed, evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
Applicants need to be able to start the Post Graduate training programme taught academic dates in January 2025 and commit to attendance at all university based taught and self-study days required. They will work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills to ensure you gain the necessary clinical practice hours to fulfil the academic programme.
Successful applicants appointed at Band 5 or 6 will, on successful completion of the programme, return to the service where they will have, as part their job plan, opportunity to deliver interventions aligned to your therapeutic modality training alongside generic CAMHS work for a minimum of 1 year. This could be in any part of the service. Maintenance of registration/accreditation with the relevant body for the chosen therapeutic modality will be a requirement of continued employment.
For Band 5 staff the above will be supported by a skills and competency framework which will offer potential progression to Band 6. To progress to the Band 6 role they will also be required to be registered with a professional body and/or successfully undertaken the accreditation process.
