University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Safety Advisor / Trainer to join the Fire Team. The role will be working across all 5 sites of UHDB. The post holder will support the fire safety manager in relation to fire safety issues with specific reference to the NHS Firecode standards and the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

The successful candidate will provide professional advice on all fire safety / prevention matters relating to staff and premises. To undertake fire safety inspections, fire evacuation procedures and to provide fire safety advice to all staff. The post holder will also develop and deliver fire safety training in line with the training needs analysis for the Trust, this will include face to face, e-learning and fire evacuation training to ensure compliance with all relevant Fire Safety legislation and guidance, in particular the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related Department of Health, Health Technical Memorandums (Firecode). The above will apply to all Trust sites including areas that work in other Trusts buildings.
