Exciting opportunities have arisen for a dedicated, proactive and experienced operational manager to join the Urgent and Emergency Medicine Directorate as Business Managers at Charing Cross Hospital.
The successful applicant will work within the Emergency Medicine Directorate. They will offer day to day support whilst also working on the development and implementation of projects to improve service delivery as well as patient experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient and effective operational management support, working collaboratively across directorates, with the overall aim of ensuring that services are responsive and provided to the highest possible performance and clinical standards.
They will have a sound understanding of performance management skills as well as an understanding of clinical pathways. The post holder will be able to engage and work with colleagues, teams and peers to deliver directorate wide improvement.
The post holder will be directly responsible for the management of the Emergency Medicine reception teams and will deputise for the Deputy General Manager where appropriate. They will need to have excellent communication skills as well an ability to motivate and lead a team.
We are looking for someone who can balance the demands of a busy workload, whilst remaining responsive and keeping the delivery of excellent patient care at the centre of everything they do.

- Relevant first degree
- Recognised management qualification at postgraduate level and/or experience
- Completion of project management skills course, e.g. PRINCE2

- Relevant postgraduate qualification

- Experience of operational and staff management in the NHS
- Track record of success in delivering change and project management
- Experience of managing and deciding on complex employment issues including handling grievances and disciplinary issues
