Dudley Improvement Practice - Divisional Practice Coach

We're doing some exciting work at Dudley with our continuous quality improvement system and are looking for someone who can drive forward our plans for developing a trust-wide culture of continuous improvement and support our people improve their work, services and experience for patients.

Main duties of the job

As a Divisional Practice Coach for the Dudley Improvement Practice (DIP), you will be responsible for overseeing delivery of the Trust's Improvement Practice system based on Continuous Improvement principles.

You will support front line clinical & operational staff,senior managers and patients to implement improvements to patient services.

The Post holder will:
  • develop improvement capability and capacity at DGFT using Dudley Improvement Practice system
  • develop long-term plans for Value Stream work with at least one division
  • undertake data collection to support Value Stream work
  • deliver teaching and knowledge transfer to support improvement leadership development and the roll out of improvement initiatives
  • coach others in improvement methods

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or evidence of equivalent
  • Continuous Improvement / Lean qualification or evidence of training from an accredited provider


Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of the purpose and approach of a coaching style of leadership


Experience

Essential

  • Significant and proven leadership and management experience
  • Significant experience of leading complex organisational and service level change across a range of functions
