There has never been a more exciting time to join us at Cheshire & Wirral Partnership (CWP) than there is right now. Having focussed our efforts over the last year on working at scale & in collaboration across the Integrated Care System, we are now turning our attention back to the transformation of our services, both within the Trust & across the wider system.
You will have responsibility for:
The post holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of financial information to support Trust management in making key decisions. Including provision of information for the inclusion in the monthly management accounts for consolidation into Board level & external reports.
Lead on the overall coordination of the financial planning process including establishment of budget setting principles to be adopted across the Trust.
Leading the Financial Management, Income, Contracting & Costing functions ensuring all statutory monthly financial returns are interpreted, prepared & completed on time according to relevant accounting standards, & to a high professional standard.
Help drive organisational improvement through pro-active forward looking data analysis, performance management, process management, customer insight & continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead the development and performance management & delivery of the Trusts efficiency challenge (CIP).
Main duties of the job
The post covers a wide remit managing complex and sensitive aspects of financial work within the organisation and involves working with other professionals at a senior level both within the organisation and externally.
To support a culture of strong visible leadership within the Trust, and an environment in which staff are valued and respected, leading by example in promoting Trust values and behaviours.
Ensure that a continuous improvement culture is promoted and embedded throughout the department, maintaining high quality, streamlined and efficient services.
As lead on Financial Management, working closely with all staff within the Trust to achieve and maintain financial control, financial balance and liquidity.
In addition to nurturing internal relationships, this role requires a strong communicator who is no stranger to developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships across organisational boundaries.
