To be part of a highly motivated team, having NHS post registration experience, working independently in both community and acute settings, providing a high standard of quality clinical care.
To take a lead role in the assessment and treatment of service users referred to the podiatry department who may have complex and / or chronic presentation.
Main duties of the job
You will work as an autonomous practitioner, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including management of all service users in your care. To make appropriate judgements on and be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care of your patient caseload. These will predominately be service users with complex medical and clinical needs including: Care will be provided in a range of primary and secondary care settings, the majority of which will be in isolation, without the support of podiatry colleagues, working as a single handed practitioner. Supervision will be largely self driven through attendance at departmental briefings and supervision meetings and through seeking the advice of peers.
