We are looking for an experienced nurse with proven skills and knowledge in the management of elective spinal and day surgery care and spinal cord injury management who has a proven track record of leading a team, being responsive to the needs of patients and who is passionate about the Health and well-being of our staff. You will lead by example, motivate and empower your team to deliver great care to our patients, families and staff. This exciting new role will involve the ward management of our newly reconfigured day surgery and spinal elective and cord injury rehabilitation ward.
In return we will be committed to supporting you to develop and enhance your leadership skills, to feel confident in your role, ensuring the delivery of the ESNEFT ambitions and you will lead the delivery of the quality priorities within the Division. You will have the opportunity in representing the Division in Trust wide forums and be involved in projects, service development and redesign of services.
Main duties of the job
To have overall responsibility for the operational management of clinical service delivery at ward level
To promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of quality care within the corporate policies, protocols and guidelines.
To be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures at ward/department level through relentless vigilance by ensuring delivery of all aspects of the Infection Control Strategy as outlined in section 3 of the strategy
To provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
To be a highly skilled clinical expert with specialised knowledge in caring for patients including spinal cord injured patients and elective and day case patients
