The Hazardous Area Response Team is governed by a number of complex specifications, standards and metrics.
The HART Training Manager is a key role within the unit and has the responsibility for ensuring the HART staff are sufficiently trained and competent in all 10 domains.
This position has become available on a 12 month secondment period.
Main duties of the job
As the HART Training Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and embedding a supportive, motivational and compassionate leadership culture across the Operational Support Unit.
This is a key leadership role in supporting EMAS to deliver its visions and values.

The Training Manager will coordinate the training calendar and liaise with internal and external partners to deliver high quality and relevant training within the delegated budget.
They will support the HART & Special Operations Manager in the leadership and management of the unit and the development of the aims and objectives of the Special Operations Directorate.

As well as supporting the other managers in the day to day running of the unit the Training Manager will focus on meeting the variety of training and compliance standards.
They will deputise for the HART and Special Operations Manager in internal and external meetings at a regional or national level.
They will also be required to complete the National Inter agency Liaison Officer course as well as other specialist Tactical command courses.

- Five Years operational experience in Specialist Responder role
- HCPC Paramedic with 5 years post registration operational experience
- Qualified and current in all HART disciplines
- Attendance of NARU Tactical Commander course
- In depth knowledge of interoperable capabilities

- Attended NILO course
- Experience of delivering within delegated budget parameters
