The Head of Service for the Immunisation Service is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of services are provided in accordance with national and local guidanceas well as commissioning intentions. As the Clinical Lead for Immunisations, the post holder will be a clinical specialist within the field of immunisations and will support clinical delivery in line with an agreed job plan.

The role will include leading contract management for the IT data management system, storage management services providing logistic services and the courier service. As part of overseeing service delivery, the post holder will be accountable for monitoring and managing performance within the service including key performance and quality outcome indicators.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Service is responsible for the effective delivery of services within budget, and will act as abudget holder with authorised signatory status, responsible for ensuring that service process and staffadhere to standing financial instructions.The Head of Service is responsible for the development and delivery of service cost improvement plans, in line with trust efficiency savings targets.The Head of Service is responsible for developing, delivering and monitoring contracts via service level agreements in all service services.
