Then this is the place for you!An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Team Leader Occupational Therapist to work within the clinical specialty of Stroke services at Fairfield General Hospital. Main duties of the job
To take a lead role in the planning, delivery and development of the Stroke team at Fairfield General.
To work as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist knowledge, skills and experience in assessing and managing all patients on your caseload.
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own professional and clinical work, working to agreed National, professional and local standards.
To provide specialist clinical support for peers, Occupational Therapy team, and the wider MDT as required.
To work primarily within the acute hospital settings, but outreaching to the community as appropriate in the facilitation of safe and timely discharges.
To effectively monitor and identify any changes in the individuals within our care, working flexibly and compassionately in response.
Apply experience and understanding of the relevant discharge pathways, and community resources available, within Bury and the surrounding areas.
To work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, taking an active role in the planning and coordination of timely discharges for this specialist patient group.
To plan, deliver and evaluate clinical audit, research activities and in-service training within specialist area.
