A exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to apply for a permanent Band 6 position on a fast paced acute ward. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join the team.
The post is 37.5 hours per week and involves working a rotational shift system including night duties. The post holder will be expected to work in accordance with the band 6 hospital coordinator rota (weekends and nights).
You will be responsible for delivering high quality clinical care to service users and their families and carers. You will participate in therapeutic group work programmes as well as taking the lead where appropriate. You will be required to administer medication and assess each individuals’ care needs in order to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care. You will also be required to support student nurses on placement.
As a Band 6 you will be expected to supervise members of the ward team. Strong leadership characteristics should be evident. There will also be opportunity for leadership development.
