Main duties of the job
The role requires the post-holder to deputise for the Sister in their absence to ensure effective utilisation of resources in the Cath Labs and Bronchoscopy on a daily basis. To act as an effective role model with the ability to safely care for patients undergoing a range of procedures in the Cath Labs and Bronchoscopy in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. The Deputy Sister provides training and education to learners in the department and demonstrates leadership for team members. Able to assist the doctor performing investigation and seek clarity when necessary.
We are looking for individuals with experience working in Cath Labs and have proven management and leadership experience. Have the ability to adapt and proactively identify precautions or contraindications to proposed intervention and take appropriate action. Taking responsibility for ones own education and development, and also enabling others to develop and apply their knowledge/skills in the work-place. Promote equal opportunities for all and ensure actions have adequate awareness of Clinical Governance and its effect on practice.
