The post holder is the most senior operational manager within Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, directly overseeing and managing all of the day-to-day operational services on behalf of Managing Director - Acute.

You will provide constant site leadership whilst managing multiple competing priorities, to ensure smooth, safe, and effective co-ordination and delivery of the services at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

Working to the Managing Director - Acute
  • To work with the Divisions and lead in Winter planning to ensure the Trust providing operational resilience through the winter.
  • Take on a wide range of underpinning duties and assume specific overall responsibility for senior operational leadership and management of the Trust.
  • Working as a member of the Director team and Senior Management Team
  • To act in partnership and at all times in support of the Clinical Divisions and the Divisional triumvirates.
  • Line report IAC, ISCCSD and IWCSHD Divisional Associate Directors of Operations
  • Ensure support functions, external providers and agencies as well as key internal stakeholders work together effectively for the delivery of the Trusts objectives and Annual Plan.
  • Lead on all aspects of safe, effective and responsive service operations, with a priority focus on achievement of key access and performance standards at all times.
  • Represent the organisation in relevant forums at both an ICS and regional level where focused on building effective relationships across the ICS and contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to meet population health demand.
  • Ensure effective two-way communication within and external to the Trust, displaying resilience and emotional intelligence to capably provide and receive highly contentious, sensitive or challenging communication on behalf of the Trust.

The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust.
