Main duties of the job

As a member of the MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Team, you will support the Team Leads to develop and deliver the MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Service.Alongside other team members, you will embody our proud to CARE values to contribute to a truly inclusive workplace.At the heart of this role is providing specialised MSK physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, including identifying appropriate treatment pathways for our patients. You will be working collaboratively with our current team, including Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and First Contact Physiotherapists, and our system partners, developing and implementing the plans, procedures, and governance to contribute to the system wide Musculoskeletal Service. Other opportunities in this role include participating in regular training, mentoring junior colleagues, and working with team members on service improvement projects.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

• HCPC Registered
• Qualification in Physiotherapy at degree level.

Desirable

• Post-graduate training with accreditation towards Master's degree in MSK Physiotherapy

Experience

Essential

• Post graduate experience working as a physiotherapist in both the Musculoskeletal outpatient and In-patient Orthopaedic trauma and elective services
• Experience of managing patients with complex needs within both the in-patient orthopaedic setting and out-patient musculoskeletal settings
• Experience of supervising staff and undergraduate student placements

Desirable

• Experience of working at a senior level
• Experience of working within GP/ Primary Care setting in MSK OP
• Experience of participating in clinical audit / service evaluation & development

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

• Developed specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning in the management of a range musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
• Time management and prioritisation skills
• Evidence of post registration CPD in MSK

Desirable

• Clinical Educator's course
• MSc Module in MSK Outpatients
