An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse on Papplewick Ward at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Papplewick ward is a 32 beds for patients with a variety of both Acute and Chronic Cardiac conditions.
Papplewick admissions come through a number of pathways including emergency admissions, heart failure nurse referrals, GP and Clinic referral as well as transfers from other hospitals and wards.
Patients on Papplewick may undergo a range of procedures including Angiograms, Angioplasty's, Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, TAVIs and a range of other hospital investigations and procedures.
Main duties of the job
Candidates should be enthusiastic and motivated to work on this fast paced ward. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you are a committed and flexible team player who has the experience to co-ordinate shifts, manage staff and ensure efficient and effective patient flow. within cardiology.

If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in Cardiology then this is the job for you!
We would love to welcome you to an interview for Papplewick Ward if you have previous acute Cardiology experience, can take charge of a busy cardiology ward, whilst delivering optimal patient care and providing excellent leadership on the unit when in charge. We would also expect you to have your ALS course or have this completed within 1 year of successful interview.
If you are keen, motivated, adaptable, excellent a communication and cope well under pressure, Papplewick ward would be the place for you.
