The Barts Heart Centre at St. Bartholomew's Hospital is looking for an experienced senior nurse for our day case and outpatient chemotherapy service and lead the SACT startedgy for the Cancer divison to be part of an evolving and dynamic Cancer Team within our Department. We are looking for a cancer nurse with significant experience within a cancer or similar acute care setting and be a registered healthcare professional.
You will have obtained a qualification in a nursing or allied health professional background and have a cancer care qualification with significant experince with the delivery or Implementation of SACT services
As a senior nurse within the cancer division , we are responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of the Trust whilst maintaining a duty of care to our patients
Main duties of the job
The role of the senior nurse is to provide high quality, safe and supportive care. The senior will not only be a clinical expert but will also have commitments to the education and training of the multi-disciplinary team and to research and audit projects.

The senior nurse & lead sACT rorole will be pivotal in reviewing current policy to support decision making and provide clear visible leadership for the workforce promoting a culture of safety. The clinical area consists of 4 daycase chemotherapy suites across the network for both oncology and ahemotology services , including a CAU and a day case/ambulatory care centre. You will be responsible for the management of our CNS teams
You will also establish and oversee efficient clinical and business systems to support the directorate so that we can deliver an efficient and professional clinical service to the trust. A strong customer service attitude and collaborative approach is key
