The East Midlands Planned Care Centre (EMPCC) is a vibrant new Elective Care Hub opening December 2024. EMPCC will provide a Multi - professional approach providing the right care in right place by a skilled and expert team. The EMPCC will focus on the provision of high volume, low complexity care across a range of specialities , promising increased access to healthcare services improving overall experience, increased staff wellbeing, training and development opportunities, as a well as a chance to work with the latest equipment and techniques.

The post is part time, 22.0 hours covering shifts 0800-1800
The post will require supporting and leading an Outpatient team, ensuring safe timely care to patients, working with the MDT, managing staff sickness, appraisals, working in line with the trust vision and may other management duties. A flexible approach to working will be required, experience in Outpatients preferred but not essential.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for delivering high quality patient experience by clinic co-ordination of the outpatients department.
o Participate in the effective clinical leadership and management of the department team.
o Supervision of others carrying out all aspects of the outpatients process.
o Deputise and take charge of the given area regularly in the absence of the Sister / Charge Nurse who has 24 hour accountability and responsibility.
o Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
o Actively contribute to the improvement of services and the quality of care provision to meet the needs of patients, service users and their families.
o Act as a role model, mentoring, teaching, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement and participate in the education, development and mentorship of other staff.

- Has band 5 registered nurse experience for 2 or more years
