Fareham & Gosport Community CAMHS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 practitioner to take on a senior role within our team.

Are you a registered nurse and NMP with leadership skills and a passion for working with young people and families? Or you might be an experienced neurodevelopmental nurse working with children and young people with ADHD, looking to further develop your skills and train as an NMP?

Your role will be to provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions, to children and young people who have been referred in for an ADHD assessment and those open to the teams ADHD clinic. You will work within the ADHD clinic, including the carrying out of physical observations, and will work closely with psychiatry and non-medical prescribing colleagues in the team.

You will work collaboratively with an identified Consultant Psychiatrist and have access to Trust wide NMP Forum to support with CPD.

In addition to your specialist NMP role, you will support the work of the wider team by contributing to Duty cover as well as offering initial assessments to people referred to the service. As a senior clinician, you will support the development of more junior staff, and contribute to the wider leadership of the team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions to patients within a care group participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice be able to undertake audit activity and supervision to other staff in service area/care group. Have an understanding of psychosocial interventions to include psycho-education, wellness recovery action plans, Delivering With, Delivering Well and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group Evidence of post registration training in relevant service area Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent Supplementary/Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Module (level 3)

  • Lived Experience of mental health issues
