We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Plain Film Radiographer with good organisational skills to join our Diagnostic Imaging Team at University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB).
Located right in the centre of the UK we are ideally placed within easy driving distance of Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester with good public transport routes. We are also very close to the Peak District.
Whether you are newly qualified or have experience, we will have something to offer you.
We operate a busy 24/7 shift rota and you will gain experience in all areas of plain film that you would expect in a large acute hospital.
We also have lots of opportunity to progress within our dynamic team.
Main duties of the job
You must be suitably qualified as an HCPC State Registered Diagnostic Radiographer with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. You will be able to display excellent interpersonal skills with a caring patient centred and flexible approach to work. The work will be shift based and cover a 24/7 rota.
We have mostly DR equipment and most of it is modern and recently replaced.
As a progressive teaching department for Radiographers we have established links with universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension, with support available to pursue academic courses and develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment.
We are a QSI accredited department.
They may be requirement for you to move between our UHDB sites, dependent on service need.
