Would you like to join our wide ranging band 5 rotation? The Band 5 rotational scheme includes over 35 posts, offering unique opportunities to develop skills and gain experience in an extensive range of specialties which will provide you with a great foundation for your professional career. The posts are full time permanent positions and each rotation lasts for 9 months. Therapists work in a supportive environment with senior supervision, team and peer support. There is close multi-disciplinary and inter-agency working.

This is the first of two main blocks of recruitment for band 5 rotational posts this year.

Continuous Professional Development is of prime importance to the Occupational Therapy Service and there are many and varied learning opportunities UHB wide. Learning opportunities are considered against the career framework pillars of practice.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree/Diploma in OT
  • Professional registration - HCPC


Desirable

  • Evidence of recent study


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in health and social care environments
  • Experience of organising a case load
  • Experience of inter professional team working
  • Experience of involvement with carers and families


Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of working as an autonomous practitioner with self management skills/ team working
  • Basic IT skills
  • Evidence of involvement in audit and research


Special Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of NHS
  • Evidence of facilitating peer learning - i.e journal clubs etc


Personal Qualities

Essential

  • Shares values of the UHB identified in application

  • Ability to speak Welsh
