We are looking to recruit a motivated, skilled and passionate band 6 to join the Ward T2 team for 6 months fixed term/secondment. You will need to have excellent leadership skills and be passionate about discharge planning.
Ward T2 is a 19 bedded unit. We specialise in caring for those who are medically fit for discharge and no longer require an acute hospital bed. Our main focus on the ward is discharge planning and creating bed capacity within the main hospital.
You will need be a compassionate and a confident individual who is able to provide training, education, support the team and leadership qualities to lead a team. You will also be supporting the Ward Manager with line management duties.
You need to be able to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. As well as work closely with multiple members of the MDT and community services.
If the above describes you, we welcome you to apply for a full time (fixed term/secondment) position 37.5 hours per week as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward T2. We will offer you a structured induction program during which you will learn more about the ward and your role.
Main duties of the job
To assist the ward / unit manager in the overall management of the ward and to provide safe, individualised, holistic and evidence based, patient focused care on Ward T2.
