We have a unique opportunity for you to join our friendly and highly experienced Workforce Advisory Services Team on a fixed term contract as a result of a temporary internal promotion. This is a varied role in a busy environment offering you the chance to use your HR knowledge and skills to make a real difference to our services, whilst gaining valuable experience to support your career.

Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside Senior HR Colleagues to provide an efficient and effective service to your allocated Clinical Board/ Departments including advising and coaching line managers in relation to policy implementation, supporting the effective management of absence and driving cultural change. You will also ensure HR processes and procedures are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner and be the first point of contact for HR queries.
As an integral member of the team, you will bring relevant HR experience and a good working knowledge of key areas of HR including absence management, terms and conditions of employment and polices and procedures to the role. You will also have experience of working with Trade Union representatives and be educated to degree level or equivalent or have an equivalent level of experience in HR.

- To assist Senior Human Resources Advisors and Human Resources Managers in providing an efficient, effective and consistent operational service in all aspects of human resources management to allocated Clinical Boards and Departments to help them achieve their objectives.
- To be flexible with regard to covering across all Clinical Boards and Departments to this level on a day-to-day basis in the absence of colleagues

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of qualification or equivalent level of experience - preferably CIPD, plus previous relevant working HR experience:
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development e.g., MCIPD
- Good working knowledge in key human resources fields e.g., recruitment & selection absence management discipline & grievance terms & conditions policies & procedures
- Good working knowledge of employment legislation
- Experience of working with Trade Union representatives in large, multi-unionised organisation e.g., absence management, discipline and grievance
