Outpatients Sister / Charge Nurse - Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse based at Lincoln.
As the Outpatient Sister/Charge Nurse at Lincoln you will work closely with the Outpatients leadership team Trustwide to provide assurance that your teams and outpatient areas are delivering safe, high quality, patient centred care, in accordance with the Trust's Vision, values and behaviours. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and will lead and support your teams compassionately to deliver the changes required to constantly improve our services. You will work with colleagues Trustwide to support the delivery of the Outpatient's Improvement plan.
Whilst based at Lincoln, you will be expected to work flexibly, including cross cover at other sites as required, to support an integrated approach to the delivery of Outpatient services Trustwide.
As one of the main entry points to hospital, Outpatient services attend to patients, carers and visitors arriving at hospital with a multitude of information and care needs. These may range from a need for health advice and guidance to life-changing consequences upon their physical and mental well-being.
Delivering effective outpatient services that ensures the care and support provided to patients and those closest to them is of the highest standard is fundamental to achieving a good experience for the individual, and providing a positive impression of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include demonstrating the delivery of key quality and safety performance indicators, including staff experience and staff management/training, and patient experience.
The Outpatients Sister /CN will also be expected to attend and be accountable at all essential meetings relating to Outpatients including governance and performance meetings.
You will ensure that all staff are receiving the correct level of training to promote the safety of our patients being seen within our departments. To provide high quality nursing care and continuing responsibility for the management of the department.
You will provide direction and leadership to the nursing team, establishing and maintain effective professional networking relationships with the multi-professional team across ULHT.
To implement and manage effective change management to develop the Outpatient service for our staff and patients.

- Registered Nurse Level 1
- Teaching and assessing course, ENB 998 or equivalent
- Nursing degree, or willingness to undertake
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- Evidence of current experience at Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse as Band 6 or above
