Then come and join us as an NHS Single Point of Access Team manager. It is an exciting time to join the team as we grow and develop to deliver a high-quality service which is forward thinking and innovative. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person with a genuine interest in working in a community mental health setting. If you have a background of experience in leadership or management then we would welcome your expressions of interest and would be pleased to have a chat about the role. We would welcome people from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds who have a strong knowledge and experience of leading and managing, and who are keen to take the step into this exciting clinical leadership opportunity. We have a strong leadership team to support this role. There is an Operational manager, Clinical Leads and a wider network of operational and team managers within the Community Mental Health Teams and Targeted Services. Proposed Interview Date: 14th/15th August.
Main duties of the job
With the community transformation ongoing, there is so much development and innovation going on in Cornwall and within the Single Point of Access team right now. We are working to create a 'no wrong front door' service providing easily accessible, place based care. The Single Point of Access team will be expanding their offer to provide extended assessments and brief interventions, meaning people can access the right help at an earlier point in their recovery journey. This post is key to being able to support the increased team and enable these changes to happen. The Team Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the team and will work closely with the Operational Manager and Clinical leads on transformation and development of the service. We are looking for a team manager who is able to lead compassionately working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, to ensure that they are fully supported to provide needs led care and treatment for our service users.

In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.

Qualification/experience
Essential
- Substantial relevant experience of working post qualification.
- Substantial experience working at a senior level in a community setting.
- Professional qualification (i.e., Nurse, social worker, SLT, OT, Psychology) or equivalent experience in a mental health setting.
- Leadership/Management qualification or experience to diploma level
- Experience of service development and change processes.
Skills

- Proven leadership, and management skills.
- Analytical skills in assessing both clinical and generic health and safety service risks and development of risk management plans.
- Budget management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
