This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Disabilities Nurse leader to join our Corporate Nursing team as we continue our quality Getting to Good improvement journey.

Providing expert clinical and professional leadership across the Trust, working across boundaries as required developing and supporting improvements in a patient-centred, seamless care. You will be a visible role model, developing clinical practice standards across the organisation and assuring the provision of safe, effective and evidence-based care in this priority area.

The Lead Nurse for Learning Disabilities and Autism will act as the named lead, supporting the Executive lead and the Director of Nursing by leading and co-ordinating the implementation of key quality improvement projects, in line with best practice across adult and children's services.

This role is pivotal to creating and delivering our Learning Disability and Autism vision, to develop and deliver a Learning Disability and Autism Charter, maintain clinical standards of care and implement quality improvement this includes ensuring the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards are met and exceeded. You will also work closely with our Learning Disability Provider and key stakeholders across the Integrated Care System.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist expert Learning Disabilities and Autism advice and support across the Trust, working in collaboration with the Deputy Director of Nursing to improve the care provided to patients with Learning Disabilities and/ or Autism to ensure this is based on best practice.

Experience of leading change utilising continuous improvement methodologies and influencing practice, as well as working in multi-professional teams and across organisational boundaries is essential.
