Intensive Care Staff Nurse - full time/ part time

The Intensive Care Unit is a 11 bedded critical care unit with a mix of level 2 High Dependency and level 3 Intensive Care beds, catering for a variety of medical and surgical patients.

We are seeking Staff Nurses with an interest in Critical care to work within the team ensuring delivery of high standards of safe patient care.

This position will offer the chance to make a real difference to the way in which care is delivered to Critically ill Patients.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn and develop critical care extended skills , amongst further educational and professional development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for:
  • Current Registered Nurses with Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Commitment to training and education
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • A genuine commitment and interest to working within the critical care environment is essential.

Qualifications

Essential

  • oCurrent Registered Nurse with NMC.
  • oWillingness to undertake further education and training.

  • Critical Care Qualifications


Experience

Essential

  • oPrevious experience within healthcare setting.

  • oExperience in an acute health care setting
  • oCommitted to ongoing personal development


Knowledge, Skills and Aptitudes

Essential

  • Basic IT Skills
  • Excellent written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
  • Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: Patient Centred, Safety, Compassion, Respect and Excellence
