This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing team at the NIHR Royal Free Clinical Research Facility. This newly created Senior Clinical Research Practitioner post will work in a multidisciplinary team delivering clinical research. Our portfolio contains a broad range of therapeutic area including but not limited to oncology, respiratory and hepatology.
The Clinical Research Facility is a purpose built clinical space containing innovative facilities, equipment, and experienced staff to enable early-phase clinical research in healthy adults and patients with acute, complex, and long-term conditions.
We deliver clinical trials developing ground-breaking treatment for a broad range of medical conditions.
As this is a Band 6 CRP role previous clinical research experience is essential.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Research Practitioner is an independent practitioner working within the multidisciplinary clinical research facility team. Responsibilities include co-ordination of care of patients on trials, collection of trial data, collection and preparation of biological samples, education of patients and colleagues.
The post holder will understand clinical trial governance and possess practical skills relating to setting up and running a study safely and efficiently. Staff will continue to develop specialised skills and knowledge relating to their portfolio under management. The post-holder will be expected to work flexibly in support of staff on leave or in response to a continually changing portfolio of studies.
